If you've ever felt lost, unsure, or like you're somehow "behind," you're not alone. Many of us reach a point where we pause and think, "What am I even doing?" Maybe everyone around you seems to have their next step figured out--college plans, career goals, relationships--while you're still trying to sort through what you actually want.
Here's something important to remember: it's okay to not know.

Life isn't a straight line, and no one really has it all figured out (even if it looks that way on social media). Feeling uncertain doesn't mean you're failing -- it means you're human. Growth often happens in those messy, in-between stages where we question everything.
And when you're scrolling online, try to keep this in mind: you're only seeing someone's highlight reel. Most people share the moments they want others to see--the wins, the smiles, the perfectly lit photos. But everyone goes through something, whether it's stress, loss, heartbreak, or just a hard day. Life isn't picture-perfect, even when it looks like it is.
It's so easy to get caught up in life that you forget how far you've already come. But if you ever pause to look back--really look back-- at everything you've made it through, life can start to look a little better than it did before. Even when you feel stuck or stagnant, reflection can remind you that you're still moving forward.
And remember, progress doesn't have to be huge to be meaningful. You don't have to wait for milestones like graduating, getting a new job, or hitting a big goal to feel proud. Celebreate the small wins, too--the days you got out of bed, brushed your teeth, or put on something other than pajamas. Those moments count just as much.
Look back. Reflect. See how far you've come.
One of my favorite quotes from Steven Universe says it best:
"...but you, you're suppose to change. You're never the same even moment to moment. You're allowed and expected to invent who you are. What an incredible power -- the ability to grow up."
Grow. Change. Invent a new you everyday. You don't need to have everything figured out right now. Take your time to exlplore, rest, and learn. You're allowed to grow at your own speed.
Even when you feel like youre standing still, you're still moving forward in ways you might not notice yet. Every small decision, every reflection, every moment of confusion--it's all part of becoming who you're meant to be.
Take a breath. You're not behind. You're just becoming.
